Coaching and counseling at the intersection of identity, performance, and transition — for athletes, professionals, and anyone in the middle of becoming.
I’ve spent most of my life trying to understand people — what makes them tick, what gets in their way, and what it looks like when someone finally stops performing and starts actually living. That curiosity is the thread running through everything I do.
Over the last decade, I’ve worked in leadership and people development across industries — helping individuals, teams, and organizations figure out how to grow with intention. That work spans the full arc: emerging professionals just finding their footing, executives navigating high-stakes pivots, and everyone in between. What my clients share isn’t a demographic — it’s a desire to know themselves better and build a life from that place.
I bring both a coaching lens and a clinical one to this work — which means I can go deep when the moment calls for it, and stay practical and forward-focused when that’s what you need. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. I believe in showing up to the actual person in front of me.
Outside of the work, I’m a husband to Paige and a new dad — which has only deepened my conviction that the relationships we build and the values we live by are the whole thing. That’s not background noise. It’s the point.
The name Carrington is a nod to Manchester United’s training ground — a place built for growth, grit, and becoming. That’s the kind of space I try to create in every room I’m in.
The five things I keep coming back to — in my own life and in this work.
Both are powerful. They’re not the same thing. Here’s how to know which one is right for where you are right now.
Coaching is for people who are fundamentally okay — but want more clarity, direction, or traction. It’s action-oriented work that lives in the present and future.
Therapy is for people who are experiencing distress — and want to understand and work through it with professional clinical support. It’s regulated, evidence-based, and protected.
Clinical counseling sessions with Henry are provided through Greenway Therapy in St. Louis — in-person only. To book a therapy session, visit begintalking.com or call (800) 353-6402. Coaching sessions are booked directly below.
Six distinct offerings. All built around one question: who are you, and how do you perform from that place?
A no-pressure first conversation. We get a feel for each other, talk through where you are, and figure out if and how we should work together.
3 sessions over 4–6 weeks. For new clients with a specific challenge to work through — a decision, a transition, a question that keeps circling back.
6 sessions over 2–3 months. For clients ready for meaningful change but unsure where to start. Alignment doesn’t happen by accident — it takes a container.
12 sessions over 4–6 months. For high performers ready to redefine success on their terms. Deep work. Real reckoning. Built for people who are done performing for the wrong reasons.
A premium, intensive coaching experience over 9 holes. As we walk the course, we slow down, reflect, and do real identity work in an unexpected setting.
The full experience — 18 holes, transformational coaching, and a personalized Yardage Book you leave with. For clients ready to go all in.
For ongoing coaching clients: The One-Off 45-Minute Coaching Session is also available on Calendly for maintenance sessions between packages, or for prospective clients who want to sample the work before committing.
I can’t even tell you in words how elated I feel after our talk. You are THE REAL DEAL my friend. You pushed me to break through the blockage in a big way today and inspired how I will be moving forward in the coming weeks.
Man, you have no idea how powerful that coaching session was for me, thank you!
Great news I had to share since we talked about it — I talked to my VP and will be getting a bonus before end of year and a pay raise offer letter by end of next week!
I’m starting a role in solar sales tomorrow, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what we spoke about, especially around building a life that stays balanced, even in a new and demanding season. Just wanted to say thanks again.
Free Carrington worksheets — the same ones used in sessions. Download, print, or work through them digitally.
A structured 6-part exercise to identify, define, and start living from your most authentic values. The foundation of everything we do at Carrington.
A worksheet for identifying anxiety patterns, triggers, and responses — and building a clearer picture of what your anxiety is actually trying to tell you.
For anyone in the middle of a major life or career change. Grounded in Schlossberg’s Transition Theory — a framework for making sense of where you are and what comes next.
A worksheet for identifying where your energy is going, what’s draining you, and how to start recovering — before burnout takes over completely.
Every coaching engagement starts with a 45-minute intro call — no pressure, no pitch. Just a real conversation.
